The bottling company has been member of Casablanca Finance City since 2020.

Its Head Office moves to Casablanca, Morocco from where it will support its 13 markets.

This strategic decision reemphasises the company’s optimism about Africa’s future and its desire to be ever closer to its customers, consumers and stakeholders.

Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company (ECCBC) has announced the relocation of the group’s Head Office to Casablanca, Morocco. The company’s leadership has heralded the move as a key milestone in ECCBC’s journey, growing from a team of just six in a Barcelona-based office to a key bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company in Africa with more than 3500 employees.

As Coca-Cola’s bottling partner in 13 countries across North and West Africa, ECCBC reaches over 100 million consumers through its subsidiaries, which include operations in territories such as Morocco (formerly NABC) and Algeria (formerly Fruital).

Since the company began its activities in 1989, Equatorial Coca-Cola has consolidated its position as an integral part of its local communities, by supplying the world’s favourite beverage brands to them and through social and environmental actions that seek to address their needs. This year, ECCBC is moving one-step closer to them by establishing its Head Office on the African continent.

This strategic move represents the company’s optimism about Africa’s future, its commitment to playing a part in its social and economic development and its desire to be ever closer to its customers, consumers and stakeholders. Equally importantly, thanks to Casablanca’s excellent regional connections, the move places the leadership team closer to the company’s day-to-day operations.

“At ECCBC we have been close to our communities for more than 30 years. Now, by establishing our group’s Head Office in Morocco, we bring ourselves even closer to them and reaffirm our commitment to their development. The continent has a bright future ahead and Equatorial will be here as a driving force, guided by our vision of becoming the best beverage company in each of the countries we operate and a leading Coca-Cola bottler in Africa”

stated Mr. Alfonso Bosch, CEO of ECCBC.

“We always look for opportunities to create value for all our stakeholders and a big part of that is finding ways to make our business more customer-focused. Thanks to Casablanca’s evolution as a travel hub for the region, this move enables our leaders to stay close to our customers and react in an agile manner to their evolving needs”

added Mr. Farid Benchekroun, ECCBC’s Group Strategic and Commercial Director.
